My name is Anh, and Jeff is just my husband. Ahhhh Jeff is actually my best friend as well because I don’t have many friends in the U.S. So, it’s not very hard to be my best friend, duhhh. Here is a picture of us sitting in front of the beautiful Denali Mountain range in Alaska, USA. It looked amazing but there were a million types of bugs swamping at us while we tried to sit still for the picture.
As you can see, we love taking pictures, spending time alone with nature, exploring new places, and meeting new people. We enjoy hiking and backpacking away into the woods or taking road-trips to the most random places we can find that don’t even show up on Google Maps. We will often avoid big cities and crowded places, although my home city of Ha Noi is one of my favorite places to explore to find new delicious places to eat. We will often travel without much in the way of plans, which has positive and negative aspects. We enjoy hearing from locals about their favorite places while traveling, and we try to explore as much as we can while abroad. That’s the way we travel!
I used to be more of a social butterfly and didn’t mind a big crowd before COVID. After these last few years that we all lived through, and mentally suffering from, I became less and less of a social butterfly and began enjoying peace and solitude much more. On the other hand, Jeff has always enjoyed peace and quiet although he does enjoy meeting fellow travelers, hikers, and backpackers as well while we are exploring. I guess we are somehow merging into the same person this way.
While we really enjoy seeing new beautiful places, we also love to meet people who share similar interests or backgrounds. We pick and choose who we want to spend our time with because life is too short to pretend. We love to make new friends from all over the world while traveling and we love to learn about different cultures and hear people’s life stories. Trying new food is also one of our favorite things to do, and we both get super excited when we find spots off the beaten path with amazing food. Our luck in finding good food is generally random as we don’t usually seek it out, but we will drive out of the way for a beautiful spot and spend hours taking pictures because that is what we truly love and have so much fun doing.
After dreaming about traveling the world on a long-term trip for so many years we are finally doing it!

The best part about our lives is how lucky we were to find each other. After we discovered that we both shared a dream to travel the world, we have been working together toward that dream since the day we got married in 2017. We both had very different ideas about how we wanted to make our dream come true. We worked together to slowly make our dream come true after paying off debts and saving up for our trip.
I’m extremely happy to say that all of our past hard work has paid off and we’re finally going to our World Trip in late 2022. We hope to spend 1 to 2 years traveling to see Europe, Africa, Asia, and Australia/Oceania. Our very first one-way ticket is to New Zealand, where I will get to see my best friends and experience many great adventures throughout such a beautiful country. I haven’t seen my best friend, Thu Vo, for so so many years and I have missed her dearly. She has always been a big part of my life and I’m looking forward to travelling with her and her soon-to-be husband. I also can’t wait to see my best friend, Dung Ngo, who has always been by my side for as long as I have lived in the U.S. and hopefully he will be able to join us in some of our travels. Also, without him, this blog would never have come to life. I feel so lucky to have him in my life to share our struggles, ups and downs, and to get to use him to help me with this blog.
This blog will be about our traveling life, and will help preserve our memories and share our adventures with our friends, family, and anyone else interested in sharing in our experiences. Traveling and exploring new places brings us both a great deal of joy, so we are happy to share those experiences with others. If we can inspire people to get out and explore the world even just a little bit, we are also very happy to do so!

Jeff has a lot of knowledge about traveling and is very detail orientated. Jeff normally would like to plan out everything before he travels, or at least have a rough idea of where he wants to explore.
I am very good at being flexible and finding the best in any situation. I don’t like planning things. and normally would prefer to “go with the flow.”
When we travel together, we do a great job of balancing each other in every single situation. Jeff does a great job of doing some planning where necessary while I always help in reminding him that sometimes the best adventures happen when you have no plan at all. No matter what the situation, we always have a great time together!
